Chicken Wontons

These delicious golden parcels may seem intimidating to the novice cook, but put the fear aside and give them a try – you would be surprised at how easy chicken wontons are to make, and will definitely impress your guests when serving them as a starter or main dish at your dinner parties.

Ingredients:

500g chicken breast fillet
25g chopped ginger
25g chopped garlic
20g coriander leaves – fresh
1 egg
20g brown sugar
20ml kikkomon soya
10g salt
10g coarse black pepper
coriander leaves – fine chopped for garnish
wonton skins
sweet chilli sauce – for dunking

Method:

Place all of the ingredients in a food processor and blend until the consistency of minced meat (not too fine). Wontons may be shaped to your own liking, just ensure that the wonton skins are stuck together with brushed egg yolks. Leave to rest in the fridge under cling wrap for 15 minutes before deep frying.
Fry in your Marcomb wok until golden brown and serve with sweet chilli sauce
