Get creative in the kitchen with your very own bite-sized sweet treats! Cake pops are the perfect party dessert and are incredibly easy to make. If you are hosting a themed afternoon tea, bridal party or even a children’s birthday, this dessert doubles up as edible décor. Display your cake pops on a cake stand as a focal point to your spread, or place one at each table setting to make each guest feel special.
Ingredients:
2 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup sunflower oil
1/4 cup (60 ml) warm water
1 cup cake flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
Pinch of salt
40 cake pop sticks
White chocolate
Method:
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Grease & flour both halves of your Eetrite cake pop mould.
Whisk eggs, sugar, water & sunflower oil in a bowl.
Sift together salt, flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda in a separate bowl and add to the egg mixture. Mix until combined.
Spoon 1/2 tbsp of batter into each division in the bottom half of the mould. Secure the top of the cake pop mould and bake for 15 minutes.
Leave to cool before removing the silicone mould from the baked cake pops.
Dip one end of the cake pop sticks into tempered chocolate and insert into the cake pops. Allow to set in fridge for 15 minutes.
